MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 14, 2011) DAmico presents a Brilliantly British December at the Walker Art Center. Gathers executive chef Josh Brown salutes the Walkers unofficial British Arrows Month with a trio of UK-inspired dishes. Stop for lunch or on Thursday evenings in December to enjoy his new specials: ale-battered fish and chips with malt vinegar and pub sauce; smoked lamb carpaccio with black currants, rocket, and fried artichokes; and cinnamon-raisin bread pudding. These dishes are available throughout the month in addition to the regular lunch and dinner menus at Gather, where locally sourced ingredients meet globally inspired cuisine.

Join Gathers own chef Brown, who shares tastes from his unique British-themed menu for the month of December. On Thursday, December 1, as with the first Thursday of every month, guests can sample two complimentary menu items. Chef Brown will be present throughout the evening to chat with guests and answer any questions. Named One of the Best New Restaurants of the Year by Mpls./St. Paul magazine, Gather features a happy hour and full bar with an innovative specialty cocktail menu by mixologist Josh Rigert.
Created and operated by DAmico + Partners, Gather serves lunch six days a week (TuesdaySunday, 11:30 am2:30 pm) and a small plates menu on Thursday evenings (59 pm), in conjunction with the Walkers Target Free Thursday Nights. In addition to the event in Gather, Target Free Thursday Night on December 1 features programs throughout the Walker, including screenings, artist talks, and gallery exhibitions. Bar offerings include classic ales and cider, specials such as the Ginger Cup and the English Bulldogcustom cocktails and mocktails by talented Gather mixologist Josh Riegertand other takes on time-honored British libations. The pub menu features savory sandwiches such as aged cheddar and fruit chutney or roast beef and caramelized onion with horseradish, as well as shortbread cookies and English savory biscuits.
