ANNOUNCING MONTHLY WINTER MARKETS
INSIDE THE MILL CITY MUSEUM!
MINNEAPOLIS (October 23, 2013) - Another exciting outdoor season at Mill City Farmers Market concludes with this Saturdays Harvest Festival (October 26th), celebrating an abundance of fall produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs and cheeses, and recipes from our Mill City Cooks kitchen demos to help customers eat locally all year round. But no need to be sad the outdoor farmers market season is nearly over - Mill City Farmers Market will be having monthly Indoor Markets every SECOND SATURDAY from November to April, 10 am to 1 pm inside the Mill City Museum!
Mark your calendar for the first Winter Market on Saturday, November 9th, when the Mill City Museums Commons will be transformed into a bustling marketplace of locally grown and sustainably produced food and gift items. From 10 am to 1 pm, shop indoors from nearly 40 vendors, for everything from squash varietals, root vegetables, and salad mix to freshly milled grains, local honey, maple syrup, pastured meats, eggs, specialty cheeses, baked goods, seasonal flowers, and more!
Each Winter Market will bring a unique celebration of seasonal offerings. On November 23rd, we are holding a special holiday market so you can pick up all youll need to make that Thanksgiving meal extra special. On December 14th, we will have everything you need to make the holidays bright! The January 11th Market will highlight many of our local artisans and the February 8th Market comes just in time to get that one-of-a-kind gift for your special someone for Valentines Day. In March, we have two back-to-back spring markets: on March 8th we will be cozy inside the Museum and on March 15th, get ready to take a day trip out west to the MN Landscape Arboretum for a unique marketplace with over 40 of our vendors! Our final indoor market on April 12th will lead us right into regular outdoor Market season, opening Mothers Day weekend!
Continue to eat local foods this winter while supporting Healthy Foods, Local Farmers. Stock up on carrots, pumpkins, potatoes, garlic, parsnips, apples, eggs, and more local and sustainable food from Mill City Farmers Market.
