WHAT: Contest-driven exclusive event for winners to meet Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, hear sample of songs from the new musical, meet the composers and two actors playing the leads in the brand new musical. Attendees also can win t-shirts, posters, tickets to the show and TAT classes. This event kicks off the lead up to the world premiere opening of Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical.

DETAILS: Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) announced a grand scale kick-off event for the much anticipated world premiere of the musical based on the blockbuster best-selling enterprise of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Contest winners through KS95, MyTalk 107.1 and CTC will get a chance to hear a Q&A with author Jeff Kinney, as well as meet the two lead actors in the musical and hear a taste of the music from the composers, Alan Schmuckler and Michael Mahler. Leading as Greg Heffley is Chicago-based actor, Ricky Falbo. Falbo’s recent credits include Little Tommy in The Who’s Tommy and Gavroche in Les Miserables at the Paramount Theatre. Rowley will be played by Connecticut-based actor, David Rosenthal who recently played Bruce in Matilda, The Musical on Broadway and Pugsley Addams in The Addams Family Musical at the Connecticut Cabaret. Both are making their CTC debut. Full cast listing below.
