Defenseman Mike Reilly Re-Signs Two-year Wild Contract
MINNESOTA WILD RE-SIGNS DEFENSEMAN MIKE REILLY
TO A TWO-YEAR CONTRACT
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed restricted free-agent defenseman Mike Reilly to a two-year, $1.45 million contract ($675,000 in 2017-18 and $775,000 in 2018-19 for a $725,000 average annual value).
Reilly, 23 (7/13/93), registered one goal and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 17 games with Minnesota in 2016-17. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound blueliner added 30 points (5-25=30) and 48 PIM in 57 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2016-17, leading team defensemen in scoring, assists and shots (129), and ranking second in goals and power-play goals (2). The Chicago, Ill., native totaled seven points (1-6=7) and eight PIM in 29 games with Minnesota in 2015-16, including his NHL debut at Dallas on Jan. 9, 2016. Reilly originally signed with Minnesota as a free agent on July 1, 2015.
