GFD Subsidiary Corporate Art Force Introduces Rotating Art Program
SmartArt Program Distributes Local Original Art
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate Art Force announced today the January 2014 anticipated roll out of their SmartArt Rotating Art Program, an online marketplace providing a distribution channel for original art. This program will give organizations the opportunity to experience original fine art created by local artists on a six-month rotating basis for a low monthly subscription fee.
Currently, Corporate Art Force is offering a 30-day free trial for organizations that subscribe prior to December 2013 and want to be a part of the January launch. The initial rollout will focus on Minneapolis and St. Paul artists with other cities to follow as the program develops.
According to Kieger, the SmartArt Rotating Art Program is perfect for organizations that may not have their own fine art collection but want to enhance their image and brand through original fine art. Subscribers can go to SmartArtProgram.com and select art from an online portfolio featuring Minnesota-area artists, which is then installed and rotated every six months for a fresh look. There is also a purchase option and financing available.
We are not aware of anyone else in the industry doing this, stated Kieger. The concept is gaining momentum. We are so proud to be offering the SmartArt Rotating Art Program because it provides organizations the opportunity to place original fine art on their walls for their employees and visitors to experience and enjoy while creating a distribution channel for professional artists.
There are currently eight pilot sites, including The Minneapolis Convention Center and organizations representing industries such as restaurant, financial services, insurance, commercial real estate and information technology.
Jeff Johnson, Executive Director of the Minneapolis Convention Center said,
The Minneapolis Convention Center is a gateway to Minneapolis for our many visitors each year. By showcasing local artists, we can pique visitor interest in the vibrant arts and creative culture in our community and encourage them to experience the city beyond our walls. Doing so fuels the economic engine of the meetings industry visitors exploring the city leads to spending and ultimately impacts the economy of the entire Minneapolis area.
The Twin Cities is a thriving area for visual artists. Many of them are based in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District where Corporate Art Force is the leading arts based employer with a network of more than 1,000 artists. Since its formation in 2009, Corporate Art Force has delivered more than 22,000 pieces of artwork in 42 states which Kieger says is a very rewarding accomplishment.
