My Preschooler and Me: Nature Explorers - Rabbit Hideaway
Tuesday, April 10, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, (west side), Brooklyn Park. Rabbits are hiding everywhere! Follow bunny tracks to discover where rabbits live, what they eat, and how they stay warm. Touch rabbit fur and learn about camouflage as you search for hidden bunnies in the park. Preschool Drop-off: Doodlebugs
Tuesday, April 10, from 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Drop off your kids for a whirlwind of fun. Each weeks activities are based on a different childrens book with a nature-inspired art theme. We will get messy as we cut, paste, paint, and sculpt! We will also spend part of every class exploring our park's plants and animals as they welcome the fresh season of spring. Dress for the weather and bring a light snack. My Baby, Me and the Mississippi: April Edibles
Thursday, April 12, from 10-11 a.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis. Let your wild edible and gardening knowledge blossom! Discover what wild edibles grow in the park and around your home. How were they prepared and what could be used medicinally? Let your little one explore different types of soil. Monday, April 9, from 9:30-11 a.m., at Gale Woods Farm, Minnetrista. Come explore the farm with your child through hands-on activities. Each theme will bring a new adventure. Monday, April 9, from 10-11:30 a.m., or 1 p.m.-3 p.m., at Lowry Nature Center in Carver Park Reserve, Victoria. Explore pebbles, stones and boulders with your preschooler. We will discover stones big and small, smooth and bumpy, spotted and solid as we voyage outdoors on a rock scavenger hunt! Make a rock pet to take home. We will be spending time outside, so dress appropriately for the weather. Cost is $5 and reservations are required.
