Bridezilla in Minneapolis
The Old Spaghetti Factorys (OSF) corporate office was contacted by the WE networks television show Bridezillas. They requested permission to film at the Minneapolis location because one of their brides was holding her reception there.
If you have seen the show and the adverse way that venues are sometimes portrayed, you could understand why they were a little hesitant to agree to it. After the producer guaranteed that they would not depict OSF negatively and would get plenty of signage aired in the episode, they agreed.
The show filimed in March and premiered on television in June. Bride Jeanine definitely lived up to the term Bridezilla. Because her behavior was so outrageous, it actually took three episodes to complete her entire story!
Living up to their end of the deal, the network showed quite a bit of OSF signage as well as a lot of the interior of the beautiful restaurant. Most importantly, they did not cast the restaurant poorly, matter of fact, it looked great! So great that a couple saw the episode and contacted the General Manager, Dean Raki, to book a rehearsal dinner for 60-80! They said they saw the episode and it looked like a cool place to have their event.
If you have any interest, they air reruns of the show often or you can go online to watch. It was quite entertaining and a lot of fun to see OSF on television!
