Minneapolis, Minn. January 10, 2012 The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts is proud to bring Breaking Boundaries Dance Company, a cutting-edge and innovative contemporary dance company, to The Goodale Theatre January 27 & 28. Artistic Director Deborah Johnson created a new, fresh and unique company in 2009. With a B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies, Deborah broke boundaries of her own when she started the Twin Cities newest dance company. Having trained extensively in ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary, Ms. Johnson drew from her passion for these many styles to create a unique company that has quickly become a Twin Cities favorite.

The emerging company features contemporary dance a mix of jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical and hip-hop creating a unique style of movement that both dancers and non-dancers can appreciate and enjoy. With music ranging from Adele and Beyoncé to Annie Lennox and Pavarotti, there is truly something for everyone. The production will also feature a musical piece created for Breaking Boundaries. Entertaining audiences with multi-media and impressive dancing, Breaking Boundaries is a fun event for your whole family.
