30 Years of Insights Design Lecture Series Celebrated by Walker Art Center and AIGA Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS, February 10 2016—The Walker Art Center and AIGA Minnesota celebrate thirty years of the Insights Design Lecture Series with leading designers from around the world March 1–22. The annual series brings international leaders in the field to the Walker to share the thinking, methods, and processes behind their work. This anniversary year features lectures from South Korean conceptualists Sulki + Min, music packaging designer Brian Roettinger, design curator Jon Sueda, and Susan Sellers, cofounder of 2x4 and current Director of Design at the Met.
“The Insights Design Lecture Series is one of the longest running design lecture programs presenting some of the most influential work, from Massimo Vignelli, Timor Kalman, Experimental Jetset, and Paula Scher, to exciting up-and-coming designers such as K-Hole and Martine Syms,” says Emmet Byrne, the Walker’s Design Director and Associate Curator of Design. “It has been a remarkable partnership between AIGA Minnesota and the Walker Art Center over the past thirty years, and we look forward to continuing to support both established and emergent design practices and presenting them to local audiences.”
