2014 Ordway Summer Dance Series Kicks-Off June 19
Free event features Steppin dance with R&B/Soul music
The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts will kick-off its annual Summer Dance Series on Thursday, June 19. At 6:00 p.m., TC Steppers/Kevin Johnson will teach the art of Steppin with free dance lessons. Then put those new dance moves to the test when Ray Covington and The Maxx Band take the stage at 7:15 p.m. with R&B/Soul music.
What: Ordway Summer Dance Series, a popular series of free, family-friendly dance events and live music in Rice Park on select Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Each week will highlight a different dance and music genre, offering free lessons from professional instructors from around the community, followed by live music and open dance in the park.
The June 19 event will feature R&B/Soul music from Ray Covington and The Maxx Band, along with Steppin dance instruction from TC Steppers/Kevin Johnson.
Who: The Ordway Center for Performing Arts, with funding by the Saint Paul Cultural Star Program, Visit Saint Paul, Knight Foundation, Travelers, The Saint Paul Hotel and Pazzaluna.
