Twin Cities Jazz Festival Announces 2013 Headliners
SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- The Twin Cities Jazz Festival will hold its 15th annual event June 27-29 in Mears Park in Saint Pauls popular Lowertown. This beautiful urban park will come alive with a variety of music appealing to a wide range of jazz fans on three stages with additional jazz artists in downtown restaurants and clubs
Jazz Fest Executive Director Steve Heckler has confirmed the headliner for this year. The entire schedule will be announced soon.
Friday, June 28, pianist and composer Kenny Werner at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 29, New York drummer and composer Matt Slocum joined by international saxophonist Walter Smith III at 6 p.m. followed by inspirational pianist Cyrus Chestnut at 8:30 p.m.
In addition to the main stage in Mears Park, on Saturday, a second stage will again be set up adjacent to Mears Park on 6th Street and the Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education will be programming and hosting the youth stage on Prince Street.

Thursday, June 27 -- Music beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing to 10 p.m. on the Mears
Park Main Stage.
Jazz in local clubs from 8 p.m. to midnight
Friday, June 28 -- Music 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Mears Park Main Stage
Jazz in local restaurants and clubs until 1 a.m.
Saturday, June 29 -- Music beginning from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Mears Park Main and 6th Street Stages
Jazz in local restaurants and clubs until 1 a.m.
Recognized as one of the regions premier music festivals, the Twin Cities Jazz Festival attracts top jazz artists and has garnered national recognition. Admission to Jazz Fest remains free due to support of many generous sponsors and supporters.
