MLK Day 2025 Service Project
MLK Day honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and serves to encourage all to volunteer and serve others. Together we can strengthen our communities and move closer to Dr. King's vision of unity.
Make a difference on this powerful day by joining other community members in volunteerism at the Twin Cities’ MLK Day Service Project on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 10:00-11:30 am at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Your involvement will contribute to meaningful change and promote the values of service and compassion.
Hosted by HandsOn Twin Cities, the local MLK Day Service Project will feature:
- Three volunteer activities – assemble BIPOC hygiene kits, snacks packs, and menstrual hygiene kits for local nonprofits.
- A mini social justice nonprofit fair – connect to local organizations and learn how to make an impact year-round.
- A book drive – donate a children’s book with diverse stories and characters, for readers ages 0-8. All books will be given directly to families supported through Way to Grow.
Sign up today to volunteer at the 2025 MLK Day Service Project! Limited space available.
Age Requirement:
Must be 10 years-of-age or older to participate. A guardian or chaperon is required for volunteers under 18.
