Destination Minneapolis: Charting the Future of Minneapolis Tourism
Meet Minneapolis is developing a strategic road map for the future by aligning the public, private and civic sectors around a shared tourism vision. In early 2024, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey kicked off this effort with the Meet Minneapolis board of directors to examine what Minneapolis needs to remain competitive in the meetings, events, and visitor markets for the next 10 years and beyond. The focus will be on infrastructure, facilities, services, attractions, and events. The process will involve stakeholder and resident engagement through interviews, focus groups and surveys. A final report with recommendations will be issued in fall 2024.
Community Engagement
Meet Minneapolis is working with consultancy firm MMGY NextFactor to engage members of the community. They are conducting interviews, focus groups and surveys with stakeholders. We’d also like to hear from residents and are launching a resident survey. The survey closes on May 3 and will take approximately five (5) minutes to complete. Responses will be confidential. If you’d like to participate in the survey, you can do so here:
- Hmoob (Hmong)
- Soomaali (Somali)
- Español (Spanish)
