Nationally-known rock band The Mrs. to perform at Mall of America® to kick off third annual NEDA walk
WHAT: Hundreds of supporters will walk and rock to raise awareness and funds for the treatment and early intervention of eating disorders at the third annual National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) walk at Mall of America® on February 22.
Guests will see a special performance from the all-female rock band, The Mrs., known across the country for their inspiring and viral Magic Mirror video, a unique project created to empower women to believe that they are enough while promoting a healthy self-image.
The Mrs. will kick off the walk with a performance of their hit single, Enough, for hundreds of walkers along with their family and friends.
Funds raised from the Twin Cities walk goes to support NEDAs programs and services helping to expand awareness, early intervention, education and outreach.
An estimated 30 million men and women in the United States will suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder in their lifetime.
The February 22 event kicks off National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, which runs through February 28.The theme of this years National Eating Disorder Awareness Week is I Had No Idea, focusing on the fact that eating disorders can affect people of any race, age, sex, or size.
